Becontree Brass Band is a 1st Section brass band based in East London. We rehearse every Monday in Barkingside, and take part in many concerts and contests.

Our conductor is Graham Chambers, who has a great reputation among brass players. Graham's professional approach has helped the band achieve a high standard of musicianship.

Becontree Brass Band was founded in 1981 by players from Barking and Dagenham Playleaders Band, Barking Concert Band and Dagenham Silver Band. Our members come from London and Essex, and we regularly perform in London and all over South East England.

We currently have a number of vacancies for brass players who want to join our friendl but dedicated band. 

Our current focus is on the upcoming Butlins Mineworks Brassband contest, 18 to 21 January 200, where we will be playing "The Plantagenets", the 1st section test piece by Edward Gregson.
